Run by Valeria Agosta and her daughter Serena, Palmento Costanzo was founded on the slopes of Mt. Etna in 2010. Today, they cultivate 18 hectares between Passopisciaro and Santa Maria di Licodia, located north and southwest of the cone of Mt. Etna.Following tradition, native vines of Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Carricante and Catarratto are trained on chestnut wood poles growing on typical stone terraces. Each small parcel is vinified separately based on the specific lava flow that sedimented over time. Stainless steel, tonneaux and large barrels are chosen to ensure that the essence of wood does not overpower the natural richness and purity of the vine.
