Erik banti

With vineyards in the heart of the Morellino di Scansano DOCG and Maremma Toscana DOC appelations, Erik began making wine 1981. His aim was to put the little known Morellino di Scansano on the world wine map and it worked. He was met with enthusiastic reviews from top critics and received the first Gambero Rosso “tre bicchieri” for a Morellino di Scansano. The special microclimate and stony, mixed consistency soils that characterise the Maremma induce an early harvest, giving the wines high acidity and considerable body with significant longevity.
